iOS 19 leak reveals possible new interface with rounded app icons and dock
Apple is expected to give the iOS interface a significant overhaul this year and Front Page Tech (FPT) claims to have seen elements of that from insider sources.
On its YouTube channel, FPT shared re-created renders of the iOS 19 interface showing rounder app icons. Earlier, it was said that iOS 19’s new look would closely resemble that of the visionOS, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. While the icons are rounder, they are also distinctly different from what you get in visionOS.
The renders also show a new pill-shaped dock at the bottom of the screen in many native apps. FPT says the dock can be supported in third-party apps, and the animations make the interface feel “more fluid and bouncy”.
FPT also uncovered an iOS 19 camera feature that is exclusive to the Pro models: the ability to record with the rear and front selfie cameras simultaneously. This is certainly not new, as Samsung introduced a similar feature on the Galaxy S4 way back in 2013.
Aside from the exclusive camera feature for Pro models, FPT previously reported that iOS 19 will bring a new Camera app interface with a simplified menu bar and menu options.
Apple will hold its annual WWDC conference on the week of 9 June, where it will showcase the new iOS 19. In the meantime, check out FPT’s YouTube video.
