A new crop of dramas is awaiting us this fall and ENA has lined up Ms. Incognito, to take us on a crime-romance with Jeon Yeo-bin (Our Movie) and Jinyoung (Who Is She). Starting up promos with the first script reading stills, we’re also introduced to their co-stars: Seo Hyun-woo (Our Movie), Jang Yoon-ju (Queen of Tears), and Joo Hyun-young (The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract).
Our titular heroine is the down-on-her-luck Kim Young-ran (Jeon Yeo-bin), who comes from an underprivileged background and works as a bodyguard for our story’s Ga-sung Group. This time, though, it’s Ga-sung’s chairman who is ailing from an illness with a very poor prognosis, leaving him with a limited number of days left to live. For some reason, though, he singles out Young-ran to propose a 3-month contract marriage, allowing Young-ran the tempting chance to reset her life overnight.
During the 3 months, though, Young-ran will have to avoid getting clobbered by Ga-sung’s ongoing inheritance war. And because heaven forbids the chairman from marrying just any commoner, Young-ran has to take on the false identity of Bu Se-mi, move to a new town in the countryside, and gets hired as a teacher at the school. Here, Young-ran as Se-mi meets our hero Jeon Dong-min (Jinyoung). He’s the village strawberry farmer and a single dad. And his son, of course, is enrolled in Young-ran’s new homeroom class.
Our remaining main characters are more closely tied to Ga-sung Group and at least two are positioned to be opponents to Young-ran’s 3-month mission. The ambitious and crafty Lee Don (Seo Hyun-woo) is the chairman’s personal attorney, while the cold and calculating Ga Sun-young (Jang Yoon-ju) is the chairman’s step-daughter.
Housekeeper Baek Hye-ji (Joo Hyun-young) is also under the Ga-sung umbrella. But it’s difficult to tell if her friendly demeanor is sincere or if she’s hiding an ulterior motive. She’ll also be one of the few people in our tale who will know Young-ran’s real identity.
Directed by PD Park Yoo-young (The Kidnapping Day) at the helm withscripts penned by screenwriter Hyun Gyu-ri (The Night Owl), ENA’s Ms. Incognito is slated to premiere on September 29, broadcasting in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
