Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Yeon-hee

• Cha Tae-hyun (Moving) and Lee Yeon-hee (Race) are said to be in talks for a new series called Personal Taxi (roughly translated), based on the same-titled novel and webtoon. Themed around music, the story follows a special taxi driver who only takes on pre-booked passengers and carefully selects songs for each person’s story. Aiming to broadcast in 2026, PD Jeon Chang-geun (Artificial City, Mystic Pop-up Bar) is attached to direct with co-writing by Kim Joon-mo and Min Dong-hyun. [10 Asia (1), (2), Newsen]

• Jeon Hye-jin (Mother and Mom) has reportedly been cast in New Employee Chairman Kang (roughly translated), potentially joining Lee Jun-young (Pump Up the Healthy Love) and Jung Chae-yeon (Beyond the Bar) in the webnovel-adaptation. Helmed by PD Go Hye-jin (My Youth, The Frog) with Hyun Ji-min (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise) writing, the 12-episode office drama and fantasy is expected to air next year.[My Daily, TV Report]

• In the meantime, we countdown to Ji Hyun-woo‘s (Beauty and Mr. Romantic) inauguration on MBN, where the newest posters and video teaser have dragged his marriage into the brewing political storm. Following the ensuing chaos when our president-elect decides to divorce his First Lady, Eugene (Penthouse 3), the melodrama will be launching on September 24 in the Wednesday-Thursday slot. [MBC]
• The train To the Moon awaits us on MBC in the new character posters, with Lee Sun-bin (The Potato Lab), Ra Mi-ran (Jeongnyeon – The Star is Born), Jo Ah-ram (The Auditors), and Kim Young-dae (No Gain No Love) buckling in for the journey towards their lofty dreams. Adapted from the bestseller novel, the office rom-com is set to begin boarding next week on September 19. [MBC]

• On tvN, the kitchens have been fired up for Han Seok-kyu (Doubt) in the latest teasers (found here and here) for the comedy Shin’s Project. Helping to keep neighborhood peace along with recruits Bae Hyun-sung (Family by Choice) and Lee Re (Hellbound 2), their chicken-frying mission will be starting on this coming September 15. • Jeon Yeo-bin (Our Movie) is taking up her post as Ms. Incognito on ENA,  entering the lion’s den to meet Jinyoung (Who Is She), Seo Hyun-woo (Our Movie), Jang Yoon-ju (Queen of Tears), and Joo Hyun-young (The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract) in the newest poster.  Slated to premiere on September 29 this month, the crime romance will be following My Troublesome Star in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
