Casetify is partnering with Takashi Murakami, a Japanese contemporary artist who’s known for his colourful pop art pieces, for a series of tech and travel accessories, including phone cases, earbuds and headphone cases and carry-ons featuring his MR. DOB character.

What’s more, this collaboration is unprecedented in Casetify’s history, having garnered the largest waitlist in the company’s entire lineup. Currently, it’s also the “most extensive artist collaboration in the tech accessories category to date”, according to Casetify.

But it might not be the only one of this scale for long, as it’s only the first in a series of partnerships called the “Casetify Icons Collection”, which will feature collaborations iconic creators and brands for more premium products. And Casetify seems to be aware of the demand that the collaboration has been getting, with CEO of Casetify Wes Ng remarking that the “extraordinary demand we’ve seen globally demonstrates a profound shift in how people want to experience art in their daily lives”.

Some of the new products in this collaboration include a phone case design with a white camera ring (compared to the iconic black ring in usual Casetify products), a three-dimensional AirPods Pro 2 case that also doubles as a collectible, and an AirPod Max case with MR. DOB’s ears as a design element.

For travel accessories, Casetify is releasing the MR. DOB Bounce Carry-On. It’s based on the basic Casetify Bounce Carry-on which was recently released last year, and which can be customised with your initials (though it’s currently unavailable in Singapore, unfortunately):

Other accessories include a MR. DOB trading card holder, smaller accessories like Apple Watch wristbands, laptop sleeves and MagSafe compatible power banks, as well as a MR. DOB phone case dangler, which comes in blind boxes.

The Takashi Murakami x Casetify collab is currently live now on Casetify’s website. Keep in mind that the collab products limited-edition (and some of them are already sold out), though certain featured items are still currently available. The phone cases cost S$99, though you can purchase it as a set with a grip stand and cardholder stand for S$206, or with an AirPod Max case and trading card holder for S$306
