If you’ve seen that Sushiro x Monster Hunter collab unveiled last week and want something a little more boutique, good news, because there’s another Monster Hunter restaurant team-up happening at Japan Rail Cafe.

This collaboration will run from 14 April to 31 May. It will see Japan Rail Cafe, a travel-themed cafe operated by the East Japan Railway Company (yes, the Japanese railway operator), fully decked-out with Monster Hunter installations, new menu items and new Monster Hunter-related activities.

First and foremost are new additions to the menu, which include the Chicken Namban Don, Salmon Avocado Don, Kaisen Avocado Don and Pork Shogayaki Don, all of which is served a Monster Hunter-themed bowl and comes paired with a non-alcoholic drink of choice. The set is priced at S$18++, and also comes with free Monster Hunter cork coasters (10 designs) and placemats (5 designs).

If you’re a dessert lover, you might also be interested in the new Bunny Dango menu item (S$12++), inspired by the dish of the same name from Monster Hunter Rise. It also comes with a drink of choice from the menu, and a free coaster featuring another 10 designs, including one that depicts Yomogi, Rise’s resident Bunny Dango maker:

As for the restaurant decor, one of the key decorations is a series of prints that depict key visuals from the main Monster Hunter games, along with a dedicated Monster Hunter Wilds photo area. Various felynes from throughout the Monster Hunter series also fill out the space, and music from the Monster Hunter soundtrack (along with video clips) will also be playing out in the background.

Finally, there will also a couple activities before, during and after your visit to the cafe. This includes a Monster Hunter community board at the restaurant, where visitors can share about their Monster Hunter experiences and create some discussion.

The second activity is a month-long special “quest”, involving Japan Rail Cafe’s social media. This will include dynamic and time-sensitive missions that you can expect to find on the cafe’s Instagram and Facebook in the days to come, though they’ll involve dining in the cafe and posting pics of you at the event, with the Japan Rail Cafe account tagged and the hashtag #japanrailcafe included.

Prizes for this event include discounts as well as entry to a lucky draw for exclusive Monster Hunter plushies sponsored by Capcom. Again, this collab runs starts on 14 April, and you can see it come to life at Japan Rail Cafe at Guoco Tower.
