Apple’s rumoured foldable iPhone may cost over S$3,000
Tipster Instant Digital claims to know the price range of Apple’s rumoured foldable iPhone.
The tipster shared that the foldable iPhone would cost between US$2,100 (~S$2,758) and US$2,300 (~S$3,020). Considering the ongoing trade war between the US and China and its impact on iPhone pricing in Singapore, the foldable iPhone could easily breach the S$3,000 barrier when it arrives on our shores.
To give that figure some context, the iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB) currently costs S$2,499. This places the foldable iPhone in the ultra-premium category, above even the top-end iPhone Pro.
In the foldable phone space, Apple’s foldable iPhone could match—or even exceed—the S$3,088 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 (12GB + 1TB). It could also carry a premium of at least S$500 over Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold (512GB).
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has a wider estimate of the price range. He expects Apple’s foldable iPhone to be priced between US$2,000 (~S$2,630) and US$2,500 (~S$3,287).
The foldable iPhone and a “bold new Pro model” are believed to be part of Apple’s “major shake-up” for the iPhone lineup in 2026.
