Local MVNO Eight has introduced a new S$11.80 mobile plan called its Fortune Eight Plan, that sits fairly well between its current two offerings of S$8 or S$18. But where it stands out is its ASEAN local data roaming. Where we’ve seen telcos bundle local data roaming between Singapore and Malaysia, Eight’s new plan also includes Indonesia and Thailand into the mix. Plus, at 488GB every 30 days, it is nothing to sneer at!
For subscribers of Eight’s S$18 plan, the addition of Indonesia and Thailand to their local data bundle is included as well.
For S$11.80, subscribers are entitled to the following each 30 days:
- 488GB of data for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand
- 18GB of data for APAC
- 8GB of international data roaming
- 688 Mins Local Talk time
- 388 Mins IDD Talk time (Excluding Myanmar)
- 88 Mins IDD Talk time (for Myanmar)
- 128 Local SMS
Additionally, from now until 30 April, Eight is giving 200 free IDD minutes for use in Myanmar and Thailand for subscribers to connect with their friends and families during this period. Note that the minutes are to be added before 2 April and is available to all existing customers that signed up by 31st March.
Like Eight’s other plans, it offers free incoming calls and Caller Number Display. It is also available with either a physical SIM or eSIM and provides 4G speeds.
