Fujifilm has a new instant film camera called the Instax Mini 41. It’s the successor to the Instax Mini 40 from four years ago, and it has a more compact design and features to improve photography.

The Instax Mini 41 ditches the faux leather look of the old Mini 40 for a new textured finish coupled with orange accents. Based on press photos, it looks more proportionate. And like most of Fujifilm’s cameras, its retro-inspired look is attractive.

Looks aside, the other big update is parallax correction, which can be enabled by putting the camera into a Close-Up mode. According to Fujifilm, this should help address the problem of subjects being somewhat out of frame, which occurs because the viewfinder and lens aren’t perfectly lined up. This should help users—especially those new to Instax cameras—take better photos. The Close-Up mode works between 30cm and 50cm.

The Instax Mini 41 is compatible with all Instax instant films. It requires two AA-size batteries for power, which Fujifilm says is good for about 100 shots.

Availability and pricing

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 41 is S$189 and will be available starting 2 May 2025.

From 2 May to 31 May, purchases made at selected dealers will come with two packs of Instax films and a mini acrylic photo frame.

You can find the Fujifilm Instax Mini 41 on Fujifilm’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee.
