GameMax reveals the Blade Concept ATX case with a unique nylon-metal front panel

GameMax has announced a new and rather striking ATX PC Case, dubbed the Blade Concept ATX. Marked by blade-like metal panels going from the front to the top of the Blade Concept, GameMax says that the design of the case was inspired by a lion’s claws, in line with the company’s lion-themed rebrand.

It’s not just an aesthetic design choice, however. In between the metal panels are what GameMax says is a fusion of metal and “high-strength nylon weave”, which acts as the case’s dust filter. This may be necessary, as the Blade Concept is intended to be an open-air case, with no panels on the sides.

But while there is a practical angle to the design, it’s hard to resist the allure of RGB. You might’ve noticed the greens that line the metal panels of the Blade Concept. But you may (or may not) be surprised to find out that these are addressable RGB LEDs. That means that, if you want a light show, you can make your Blade Concept case look like this:

Outside of RGB, more practical features include an I/O panel that can be swapped to face either the left or right side of the case (which might be helpful if you intend to put this up against the wall). This I/O panel also supports 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x USB-C Gen2 port and 1x combo audio port.

GameMax also intends the Blade Concept to have a more enthusiast audience. Aside from being able to support a huge graphics card (up to 400mm and 3 slots for a vertical-mounted GPU), it also has no support for individual fans. Instead, the Blade Concept supports up to a 360mm radiator. This plus the aggressive design might turn off those looking to build a more conventional setup, though, judging by the price, it seems that it’s meant for more expensive builds.

Pricing and availability

There’s no word on local availability for the Blade Concept yet. However, we do know that it will have an SRP of US$240.99.
