Honor 400 Lite brings on Google Gemini and a dedicated camera button to entry-level Android phones
The Honor 400 Lite arrived on the sunny shores of Singapore, with Honor promising integrated AI capabilities in the phone’s display and photography chops at an affordable price.

In case you’re wondering if Honor skipped a number, here’s the Honor 300 series as seen at its flagship store in Chengdu:

If you recall, Honor 200 series was launched in Singapore last August, which makes the Honor 400 Lite (and its overarching numeral-based series) a rapid upgrade cycle. Literally, we saw three generations in an 8-9-month period.
However, Honor still has several tricks up its sleeve to make the upgrade to Honor 400 Lite appealing.
The phone comes with a dedicated, yet multifunctional AI Camera Button. Pressing and holding it brings up an image search, letting users take photos of what they see and proceed to find them online. The button also controls the default Camera app, so users can take photos, record videos, and zoom with it, even if they are wearing gloves (really handy for food delivery folks and healthcare workers).
Also, long-pressing the Power Button fires up Google Gemini, so you’re still getting the industry-standard mobile AI for Android-based smartphones.
The phone also has a 108MP main camera (f/1.75 aperture, 3x lossless zoom) paired with a 5MP “wide and depth” sensor (f/2.2). The latter helps provide additional depth data when shooting to produce high-res shots with better separation between the subject and background. Towards the front is a 16MP camera for video calls and selfies.
The Honor 400 Lite’s display side packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ (2,412 x 1,080 pixels) resolution. It boasts a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio, with the rest being thin bezels. Honor said the phone can reach a 3,500-nits peak brightness, trivialising viewing difficulties under direct sunlight.
The display also includes several eye-comfort tweaks, such as 3,840Hz PWM Dimming for reduced flickering, hardware-based Low Blue Light output, and Circadian Night, which manages nighttime use.
Despite its entry-level categorisation, it still comes with IP65-rated water and dust resistance, a 5,230mAh battery with 35W fast charging, and MagisOS 9.0 (Android 15) with Magic Portal included. The phone has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, but you can extend its RAM virtually to 24GB.
