Happy Friday, Beanies! Hope you aren’t freezing over there like I do atm – it’s always April when cold weather returns with vengeance (it’s snowing rn *sobs*) for a while and being a reptile I am it’s painful((( This was a lucrative week for LYN – MUSIC ON THE JOURNEY episode with him aired, not one, but 2 OSTs dropped (did he hear my worries about him slowing down with those?) AND he also livestreamed to end me completely. Ofc that stream was hella fun in his usual fashion: roasting people spreading casting rumors about him (“at least send me said scripts so I won’t get hate for nothing!”), randomly going on rant against scammers, once again prohibiting fans from fighting on his behalf online (then sue the worst ones yourself, ge! which he doesn’t do because he doubts he’ll have strong enough case to win *sigh*) and announced that we’re getting ADWAD soon, so let’s all prepare for it with a positive mindset… Good for him to unlock a new level on enlightenment, I guess. Oh, and he did sound like he won’t take another drama this year AT ALL, once again citing desire to focus on music for now and no tempting scripts at hand. 2026 looks gloomy already… But at least we’ll get that tour this summer! Probably. Dates keep pushing back, with such speed he’d get to it in December!
Anyway, back to business – first OST this time is “We are the only ones in the world/The world is only us”, opening theme of EAT RUN LOVE drama that just started airing. I don’t find it very memorable or otherwise unique – just your run of the mill romantic ballad, soft and sentimental. Subbed lyrics:

Second one is “Like a dream, like you”, opening for another freshly aired show CLASH OF THE TITANS (what an atrocious title! not that previous DESTINY AND SAVING was much better). This track at least has some bite to it – melody evolves, featuring expanding scale, highs and lows, giving Ning-ge more opportunities to display his emotional range. Plus that (electro?) guitar? Good stuff!

Back to MUSIC ON THE JOURNEY, there’s still no official uploads of performances, so we’ll have to work with what we’ve got. As I said, he sang quite a bit there – solos, duos, in a group, like this one with rest of the cast, including Hu Xia, Curley Gao, Bai Jugang, Lu Hu (we miss 2 people as far as my math goes, but idk who they are, sorry) – “We sing the same song” (I think OG artist is Jam Hsiao, but not 100% sure, search engines failed me this time). This is as close as we got so far to have OST legends Yuning and Curley to sing together, here’s hoping that one day they will give us that duo finally. Indifferent to this track personally:
