The Nation has rejected multi-party Parliamentary representation « Experience « Opinions « TR EMERITUS

Our party suffered great losses and I personally have suffered the greatest hit. But these personal losses are nothing compared to the losses that our Nation is suffering.

The Nation has rejected multi-party Parliamentary representation despite of the fact the two major parties have a track record of scandals, issues of governance and integrity.

Even the bread and butter issues of high cost of living, HDB prices, jobs etc, became irrelevant in most voters’ mind.

While many people celebrate WP’s victories but the loss of a popular WP Malay MP without any real gain in seats is a worrying sign.

The impact of New Citizens’ votes cannot be ignored at all.

The conservative voters have chosen to remain supportive of PAP inspite of the apparent wokeism in progress.

This is indeed a watershed elections and it is clear that Singaporeans have chosen a path of Two Party system with the rejection of all others, including PSP and SDP.

Opposition Politicians who have always been talking about policies, have been rejected by voters.

It is a great loss to Singapore that people like Leong Mun Wai, Paul Tambayah and Chee Soon Chuan etc didn’t get elected into Parliament.

Smearing campaign, politics of fear, emotions and showmanship have dominated this campaign.
Singaporeans have given PAP the mandate to continue the path of massive over population growth, over taxation and massive unchecked powers.

But this is the will and decision made by Singaporeans.

I have no regrets of contesting in this GE although we lost badly.

I have a wonderful team, a dedicated group of supporters and volunteers who share our Core Values and Vision.

We have gone all out to deliver our messages despite all odds, even walking through the muddy field and stand bare footed on stage just to do all that.

I have witnessed their personal progress along the path of the campaign.

Most importantly, this election has provided us an important opportunity and platform to bring out our real concerns of medical tyranny which unfortunately was ignored by the voters. But at the very least, we have said our piece. When the next pandemic comes, people will understand what’s so important about our good intent though it would be too late.

We respect Informed Consent and Choices made. We have learned something important about Singaporeans at large and it’s a valuable lesson.
