The Ugreen X Genshin Impact Kinich collaboration is how fandom should be celebrated

You’re probably more familiar with Ugreen’s range of chargers, USB hubs, adapters and docking stations. These utilitarian tech accessories are designed to prioritise functionality rather than aesthetics. But Ugreen’s latest collaboration with Genshin Impact aims to inject a bit of personality, appealing directly to Genshin fans and the wider gaming community – and since I’m a fan, naturally my interest was piqued.

Thanks to Hoyoverse and Ugreen, I received the Ugreen X Genshin Impact Kinich special edition collectible gift box that features four charging accessories inspired by – you guessed it – the game’s newest character, Kinich, each designed with visuals and details that reference the character.

First off, and by far my personal favourite, is the Ugreen Nexode Power Bank Genshin Impact Edition, which packs a massive 20,000mAh battery inside a hefty brick-like portable charger. There are also depictions of Kinich all around although colours are only used exclusively on the front. There are also two USB-C and one USB-A ports, with one of the USB-C supports 100W fast charging. Charging performance is pretty impressive, with the Nexode quickly taking my iPhone 16 Pro from zero to over 50% in about 30 minutes. I also like the compact TFT LCD digital display, which provides real-time information like battery levels and even the time it’ll take for the power bank to be fully charged. There’s also a whimsical animation that features Ajaw, Kinich’s pixel-art companion.

Then there’s the Qi2-certified Ugreen Magflow Wireless Charger Genshin Impact Edition, and I confess to having initial reservations. Folding wireless chargers tend to fall short of their promises in my experience. They either wobble awkwardly or charge at frustratingly slow speeds, but the Magflow pleasantly surprised me by not doing both. While unfolding it isn’t exactly seamless and occasionally requires some wrangling, once set up, it’s a useful travel companion thanks to its super compact size and its 15W fast wireless charging speed. There’s also a USB-C port on the back for charging smart watches or smart rings. Design-wise, Ugreen has opted for a black-and-neon green colourway and the design is inspired by Natlan region’s Yumkasaurus.

The Ugreen Nexode Charger Genshin Impact Edition (US plug) is more straightforward but don’t let its petite design fool you. There’s 65W of fast charging power packed inside its 66x40x31mm enclosure (which is dotted with Kinich and Ajaw artworks), which is enough to charge ultraportable laptops and other mobile devices – thanks to its two USB-C (65W) and one USB-A (22.5W) ports. It also comes with Ugreen’s GaNInfinity chip, which it claims improve power efficiency and keeps temperatures cool.

Last but not least, completing the collection is perhaps the most modest accessory – the Ugreen USB-C to USB-C Cable Genshin Impact Edition. At first glance, it’s essentially a standard high-quality braided cable that is capable of 100W fast charging. However, the addition of the neon-green braid and a whimsical cable tidy shaped like Ajaw injects a surprisingly effective Genshin flair. It’s admittedly the least essential item if you’re strictly looking at functionality, but as a part of this themed set, it ties everything together nicely.

Beyond the core products themselves, Ugreen has also loaded the collectible gift box with merchandise like an acrylic Kinich and Ajaw standee, phone grip, and a range of other themed accessories. Fans will be disappointed to know that this gift box is not commercially available, but there’s a chance for you to own one as Ugreen is giving limited sets away via online events and giveaways hosted on their official website and social media channels including Ugreen’s official X, Facebook and Instagram pages.
