Premiere Watch: You and Everything Else
by stroopwafel

Time slot: Friday (single drop)
Broadcaster: Netflix
Genre: Drama, romance
Episode count: 15
Reasons to watch: Sometimes, you can’t separate love from hate; You and Everything Else embodies that in drama form. Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun star in this Netflix original series as two women whose friendship plays a defining part of their lives.
Heavily character-driven, the drama follows our two protagonists from their teens into their forties, from the start of their relationship to what may be the end. When they first meet as students, the two are immediately drawn to one another. But their affection for one another shifts to envy, and their friendship is marked by tumult.
Though they grow apart, they inevitably find themselves back in each other’s orbits before drifting away again. It’s when they’re in their early 40s that Park Ji-hyun approaches Kim Go-eun to reconnect once more, and this reunion marks a turning point in their relationship.
The creative team has been incredibly tight-lipped about the shape of the story, so it’s been hard to parse what form the plot will take, but I’ve been drawn to this one since I heard the casting news. Based on the teasers so far, everything about the drama screams Intense, and I am here for it.
